CAP Christians Against Poverty
The Chippenham Debt Centre based at The Beacon Centre works in partnership with the national award winning debt counselling charity, Christians Against Poverty. The Debt Centre provides a free in-depth and personal service to help people sort out their debts. The Debt Centre covers the Wiltshire towns of Chippenham, Calne, Melksham, Devizes, Trowbridge, Corsham, Marshfield and the villages and hamlets between.
The Debt Centre is run at minimal cost, paying the Living Wage and relying on a considerable number of volunteers. Over the last 5 years the Debt Centre has dealt with 189 individual enquires and have seen 35 Clients going debt free with a number of Clients continuing to work through the Debt Centre on Repayment Plans
The Centre is totally funded from support from the North Wiltshire Methodist Circuit and other grants and donations.
