In The Community

For the community......With the community

Sheldon Road Church believes in being a part of the local community ...... in supporting the community in its daily needs.  Below are some of the initiatives that we currently undertake as a fellowship.  In addition, take a look at  our children, families and youth activities provided, and other ministries that individuals from within the fellowship are involved in within the community.

Community Lunches Our  Community Lunches is continuing on from 2022.  Every Saturday lunchtime throughout Winter/Spring 2023 [January - April] a free 2-course lunch is being provided for the community. First come, first served. All welcome - there is neither 'qualification' nor check upon upon anyone turning up.
Warm Spaces Sheldon Road Church has joined in with the Chippenham Town Council plan to provide warm spaces for individuals and families who are struggling with the cost of living crisis.  Everyone is welcome to come into the building for warmth and where light refreshments are being provided.  The times available are:  Mondays 10am - 2pm, and Saturdays 11am - 2pm.
Wednesday Lunches For people 60+ years old and living alone or finding it difficult to cook for themselves anymore.  Every Wednesday [with a few exceptions] serving from 12.30pm, and for a reasonable cost, you are welcome to share a freshly cooked 2 course dinner, and meet others for friendship! Booking is a week at a time in advance.  We can cater for those needing alternative diets and those with limited mobility.   Contact us if you'd like to come or if you'd like to help.
BOCBOF As it says in the image, a time to simply come together, make friendships, give and get encouragement, and relax from our normal hectic lives.  Want to know more? - contact us.

Chippenham Uniform Exchange Commencing in January 2023, Sheldon Road Church is pleased to be assisting the Chippenham Uniform Exchange by becoming a donation point for school uniforms no longer needed that can be passed on  families undergoing financial hardship.
